Is it necessary to get my child fitted for a uniform at the Flinders Shop? Or can we just work out the sizing ourselves?
Yes, it is recommended that children who are new to Flinders have a uniform fitting with our team. This ensures that the uniform items fit correctly and allows for size growth over time.
Do I book a uniform fitting appointment online? Or do I just visit the Flinders Shop directly?
During busy uniform fitting periods, all uniform fitting appointments must be booked online – see Booking Information page.
The Shop’s busy uniform fitting periods are during the January lead-up to Term 1 and in Term 4 of the school year.

How much time should I allow for a uniform fitting appointment?
Fittings are booked in time slots which are 30 minutes in duration. A maximum of two (2) children, from the same family, can be fitted in a single time slot.

We are an existing Flinders family and have been fitted for uniforms in previous years; however, I am unsure of the sizes for my child/ren. What should I do?
If you have previously had a uniform fitting with our team at the Flinders Shop, you may email the shop with your sizing request. A team member will be able to look up your previous purchases to find out your child’s sizing and will email you with the sizing information.
However, please note that the new Flinders uniform might fit your child differently to the previous uniform style. Your child will benefit from having a new uniform fitting. See the Q&A about booking a uniform fitting appointment above.

Once I have ordered uniforms online, how soon can I collect my order?
The Flinders Shop is open during term time and for one week prior to the start of Term 1. During the term on weekdays, it may take up to 48 hours for an order to be processed and packed, to be ready for pick up or classroom delivery.
For example, if you order online on a Wednesday, please allow the Thursday and Friday for processing and packing. Your order will be delivered to your child’s classroom or available for pick up from the Flinders Uniform Shop on the following Monday.

You will receive notification when your order is available for pick-up from the Flinders Uniform Shop, at which time either yourself or your child may collect your order from the shop during normal open hours.

If you have children in the Primary and Secondary Schools, your order will be delivered to the eldest Primary child’s classroom.
For example, if you have children in Year 4, Year 6 and Year 8, it will be delivered to your Year 6 child’s classroom in the Primary School.

What if we want to have our ‘Surname and Child’s Initial’ embroidered into the uniform items for which this pay-for-service option is available, including hat and blazer?
You can select to pay for embroidery at the online checkout when ordering the specific item.

How do I return an item that is not suitable or does not fit?
Please hand deliver the uniform item to the Flinders Shop in new condition with all packaging and tags still attached. The team will then be able to organise a refund or exchange for you.
Can I get a refund on items I no longer want?
Yes, however, this must be requested face-to-face in the Flinders Shop. The uniform item/s must be in perfect order, still in the packaging and with labels attached.
